Leaking Air Conditioner in South Beach?
11/29/2021 (Permalink)
I looked up and noticed a dark stain growing on the ceiling of my South Beach home. What in the world could be causing that? There were no plumbing pipes in that part of my ceiling, so I was at a total loss as to what could be causing the water damage. I had my husband check the roof for leaks, and the roof was fine, too. I knew I had to act fast, so I called SERVPRO® of Miami Beach.
The SERVPRO team arrived quickly and inspected the damage. Evidently, my air conditioning unit was the culprit! The air conditioner’s evaporator coil was clogged with dust and debris, causing the water in the condensation pan to overflow and leak onto the ceiling. The SERVPRO technicians fixed the air conditioning unit coil to prevent further damage. Once the area was completely dry, they replaced the drywall and insulation and repainted the ceiling. Now, you would never know I had water damage!
