Thanksgiving Greetings from SERVPRO of Miami Beach
Thanksgiving is right around the corner! As you prepare food for family and friends, we hope you stay safe and have fun. Those of us at SERVPRO® of Miami Beach know Tropical Storm Eta flooded some people out of their homes; we hope you can return soon.
Eta was, in meteorological terms, a doozy. High winds forced the temporary closure of the Sunshine Highway Bridge, and heavy rains drenched the streets. The storm knocked out power and knocked over trees, we know. We live here too.

Family Fun at Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving can include more than eating too much and watching televised sports. Here are some ideas:
- Have children make decorations by drawing on miniature pumpkins
- Bring out the board games
- Download printable board games from family-friendly websites
- Play hide and seek, but take a nap when it is your turn to search (maybe not such a good idea – then again, it has merit)
- Family trivia – “where did Uncle Mario go to high school?” and other questions
- Plan a bad fashion show with an ugly T-day sweater or hideous socks contest
- Thanksgiving-decoration hunt – instead of hunting for plastic eggs, have the kids search for T-day-themed items such as miniature pumpkins or plastic turkeys
SERVPRO of Miami Beach Wants You to Be Safe
Have a great time and be careful.
