Call SERVPRO of Miami Beach When the House is Soggy.
Regular life has enough stress of its own. Water damage doesn’t have to add to your to-do list. As leaders in the restoration industry, SERVPRO® of Miami Beach is part of a family that has been helping restore homes for over 50 years. We are Here to Help.
SERVPRO of Miami Beach
Buckets of rain, humidity that strikes terror in the hearts of cacti, and storms we sneer at while non-Floridians call in hurricane alerts… are all part of life in Miami Beach. Okay, we’re not sure about the “hearts of cacti” part, given that cacti are plants, but you know what we mean, right?
The point is: we know to expect a lot of water, and we’re prepared for it, even from plumbing leaks. Still, sometimes it’s too much even for us. When the water gets inside and stays inside, that means water damage. Water damage means there’s a mess, and not just any mess – a big mess that requires professional remediation.
That’s where we come in. At SERVPRO of Miami Beach, we’ve been handling even-worse-than-usual water gushers all around Miami, Surfside, and Edgewater. When the swamp is your carpet, call us at 305-532-5411.
Emergency services are available all day, all night, every single day of every week. As soon as you know there is water damage, call. Hey, as soon as you even suspect there is water damage, call.
What to Do When there is Water Damage and What NOT to Do
SERVPRO of Miami Beach can stand by its promise to be Faster to any size disaster, but “faster” does not mean “instantly.” We need to get your information, assemble the team and equipment, and drive to your location.
While you’re waiting for us to arrive, there are some things you can do if they are safe, and there are some things you should not do as they are never safe.
Do Not:
- Move anything large or heavy – water weighs eight pounds a gallon. SERVPRO of Miami Beach team members has the equipment to help us move heavy objects.
- Contact water that may be contaminated.
- Touch electrical appliances or circuit breakers while standing in water.
Do:
- Turn off main water valves if they are the source of the water leak and you can do so safely.
- Photograph or video the damage for your records.
- Turn off circuit breakers or electrical equipment if you can do so safely.
- Move small appliances to dry areas if you can do so safely.
- Find safe places for people and pets to stay.
- Move documents and important objects to a dry, safe place.
