Storm Damage – Miami Beach Condominium
Storm damage resulted in this Miami Beach condominium building when garage and storage unit area was flooded by a horrific thunderstorm. SERVPRO of Miami Beach was quickly called to clean up the water deposited by the storm. Handheld pumps and sump pumps were used to clean up the standing water. The flooring of the garage and storage units was concrete which absorbs a great deal of moisture, so drying was required. We used commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to facilitate drying of the concrete surfaces. After standing water on concrete, it takes several days to dry, and we monitored the process with high-tech moisture content meters to provide sufficient reporting to the insurance adjusters.
